Bespoke T&C's

Please read our T&C’s carefully before proceeding to work with Josie.

T&C’s:

Returns and exchanges:

Bespoke and custom jewellery is exempt from the refund and exchange policy unless structurally faulty.

If you are not based in the UK and would like to return an item, please note that a customs declaration form will be required on shipping. The goods will need to be correctly detailed as ‘RETURNED BRITISH GOODS’ in order to ensure that no additional customs fees are incurred on re-import to the UK. In the instance that an item is incorrectly marked and a customs fee is incurred, this may be passed onto the customer. This may also delay the returns process.

Bespoke dates guideline:

I will do my utmost to ensure that you receive your jewellery by the agreed upon date, but I advise a grace period of 1-2 weeks, due to the nature of metalsmithing and working with fire.

Please be aware that the average bespoke piece of jewellery takes 4-6 weeks, but in some cases may take longer.

Shipping:

All bespoke jewellery will be shipped using special delivery with Royal mail and you will receive your jewellery by 1 pm the next working day.

Josie Mitchell jewellery will not be held accountable for damages, theft or missing parcels and will not offer refunds once the jewellery is no longer in my care.

Deposit and payment:

A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the complete payment is required before manufacturing can begin. This will secure your space on my custom list, and allows me to make you a high priority customer.

During our consultation you will be given the opportunity to complete your payment in full, or split it over the course of a few months.

ONE-TIME PAYMENT: If you choose to complete your payment in full, you will receive an email with a link to the website. Here you can fill out your details and complete your payment.

SPLIT PAYMENT: If you choose to split your payment over the course of a few months, you will receive a Paypal link to set up a monthly direct debit. Please be aware that work will not start on your bespoke piece until the full payment has been received.

Heirloom re-designs/ stone resetting

Please be aware of the dangers of heirloom re-designs and stone resetting. Stones may be faulty due to wear and tear (especially in older rings) and can crack upon removal or re-setting. Josie Mitchell Jewellery will not be held responsible for damages that may occur.

Cast in place:

If you choose to have your stones cast within the jewellery piece (this process is called cast in place and means that molten metal is poured over the stones to secure them in place- it is a highly organic and ancient form of metalsmithing), there is a greater chance of damages to the structure of the stone due to the heat it is under- stones that can withstand the heat are Diamonds, Rubys, Garnet, Cubic Zirconia, various lab grown coloured gemstones and Sapphires. The chances are slim that they could damage, but please be aware of the risks involved. Josie Mitchell Jewellery will not be held responsible for damages that may occur.

Feedback and complaints:

I always welcome feedback from our customers as it enables me to improve my services. If I should receive a complaint,  by phone, email or letter, then it will be dealt with promptly. Please contact me on josiemitchelljewellery@gmail.com
